We believe that you, being a network operator, should have freedom of choice regarding network equipment vendor(s). You should have the possibility to choose the best solution for each situation – for example utilizing existing coax or copper cable infrastructure when possible. You should also get full support from your OSS-system in a heterogeneous vendor environment with a mix of old and new models, technologies and solutions. This requires a dynamic OSS-solution independent of hardware in the network. NETadmin qualifies for all these requirements!
This agnostic approach to choice of equipment vendors and technical solutions leads to substantial cost savings and lowered operating expenditures as you have the freedom to always choose the most financially sound solutions in each situation.
One of the key principles of NETadmin is to make vendor support flexible, powerful but still quick and simple. This goal is achieved by breaking down the various provisioning processes into smaller, re-usable, blocks which in combination forms the complete chain of provisioning tasks. The central topic which enables this flexibility and openness is the NETadmin Driver system.
The Driver system and NETadmin Drivers are fundamental concepts of the NETadmin system and are used by several functional modules. A Driver is used to encapsulate a logical network operation into an atomic module. It allows emulation of man-machine and machine-machine interface communication (e.g. logon using TELNET and send a CLI command).
NETadmin Drivers can be supplied by our partners but after taking one of our training courses you can also create them yourself. This gives you the independence you need to select the best-of-breed solutions for today’s, and tomorrow’s, challenges! |
