Swedish company Netadmin Systems has signed an agreement with IFNL, part of Inexus, the largest independent utility infrastructure company in UK and a market-leader in sustainable utility networks. According to the agreement, Netadmin is to deliver a system to automate operational and business processes in IFNL’s fibre broadband networks. Netadmin’s system is to be installed in the central operations centre in Cardiff, where it will be used to manage business and operational processes in IFNL’s FTTH (Fibre-To-The-Home) networks across the UK. A back-up system will also be installed in a separate operations centre. For IFNL, this automation will enable the company to manage its rapid expansion in a cost effective way, while also offering customers ease of choice, better service and stability. ”Our commitment to open access and customer choice was an important reason behind our selection of NETadmin, with its ability to handle multiple competing service providers in the same network effectively. The NETadmin solution allows us to provide end-user access to our communications providers via both a portal and a Business-to-Business solution. Our eventual aim is to enable end users to choose their communications provider and the super-fast fibre broadband, telephony services and entertainment services they want through a portal on their home computer,” said Andrew Robinson, Director of IFNL. “The system also automates many manual processes which ensure that we can optimise our operational expenditures.” “It’s always exciting to strike the first new deal in a new market, and this deal is a big feather in our cap,” said Anders Lindén, CEO of Netadmin Systems. The NETadmin system has taken the market by storm. It has quickly become the Nordic market leader and holds a sixty percent market share in Sweden. An important reason behind the system’s attractiveness is its high level of automation, where the system drastically reduces operational costs for the network owner and lets existing staff handle multiple times the current amount of customers. It also allows for valuable flexibility when connecting new communications providers and launching new services such as IP telephony and HDTV in the networks. IFNL specialises in deploying fibre on new developments, and is currently working with land owners and property developers to bring Scandinavian-style open-access FTTH networks to the UK. IFNL build and operate the networks, and give third-party communications providers access via wholesale Active Line Access. Third-party communications providers will deliver end-user services, providing true choice to consumers. For further information visit: www.ifnl.net |
