| Netadmin automates one of Norway’s largest broadband networks |

Standardised provisioning and customer management system capable of handling multi-access, i.e. dsl, radio, fiber, and coax Swedish company Netadmin Systems has struck a deal with Eidsiva bredbånd, a company owned by regional electrical companies in the Hedland and Oppland counties in eastern Norway. Eidsiva bredbånd is the Norwegian multi-access broadband leader, offering dsl, radio, fiber, and coax, and employing a multi-product strategy of which IPTV is also a part. The deal between Netadmin Systems and Eidsiva bredbånd includes delivery and deployment of NETadmin, software that automates operation and business processes in citywide, residential, and regional broadband networks. Eidsiva bredbånd in Lillehammer is, with its 25 000 connected users, one of the largest broadband network owners in Norway. The company supplies advanced communications solutions to households and housing cooperatives, as well as to hospitals, county councils, municipalities, banks, and other businesses. The major reason behind the purchase of NETadmin was its innate ability to manage multiple access technologies, as Eidsiva bredbånd’s network is based on a combination of dsl, fiber, and coax connections, as well as radio links between hillside and remote areas. The company also wants to give its customers access to IPTV from its favoured provider GET. As the software is integrated with GET’s IPTV services provisioning system, Eidsiva bredbånd will require only one system to operate and manage the provisioning of its triple-play services, i.e. Internet, IP telephony, and IPTV. “NETadmin manages business and operations processes in a cohesive way and is therefore the core of our entire operation,” said Øivind Sørbu, COO of Eidsiva bredbånd. “Managing triple-play services, especially IPTV, in a broadband network is a challenge to many broadband operators as it makes so high demands of stable transfers with minimal delay,” said Anders Lindén, CEO of Netadmin Systems. “The integration we performed in this project showcases the versatility of our system, and opens up a significant market to us.” Netadmin’s fully automated system is very advantageous to broadband network owners. The system drastically reduces operation costs and/or lets existing staff handle multiple times the current amount of customers. It also allows for valuable flexibility when choosing to connect new service providers and launching new services in the networks. Project management, delivery, and support will be managed by Netadmin’s Norwegian partner Cumulus.
