Netadmin has further strengthened its team with the recruitment of Magnus Flyg as our new Product Evangelist. Magnus has an extensive background in BSS/OSS solutions, and he has been instrumental in complex solution sales and customer success stories worldwide.

His strategic knowledge and long experience will help us take our, and our customers’ business to the next level.

Hi Magnus, how does it feel to be a part of Netadmin?

I'm feeling really pleased to be here. I'm currently learning the ins and outs of our solutions, our ways of working and getting to know the teams and our customers. It is impressive to see the inner workings of Netadmin, and I find the culture very inclusive and sharing helping me onboard smoothly!

What will you spend your days on here at Netadmin?

In my role, I will be building upon our role as a thought leader in our markets. It involves activities aimed to delight our customers and prospects by listening to their needs, surpassing expectations, providing insights, and improving products and services to further grow our business in existing and new markets.

‘‘Be a lifelong learner.
I think it is a great advice
and I live by it every day.’’

Tell us a bit about your background and past experiences?

My background is a solid career in telecoms, with deep technical and domain knowledge in billing and other BSS/OSS solutions. I have been in a wide variety of roles and my past experiences range from growing a Swedish GSM operator from a startup to millions of customers, to having global product responsibility for Ericsson's billing portfolio while traveling the world. I have continued to evolve sales, products, services, and processes as well as led organisations, projects, and people through change.

What are you passionate about being a Product Evangelist?

I'm passionate about meeting people, sharing knowledge, and solving business needs and this role allows me to work with all our departments, customers, partners, and markets in order to improve our solutions and business.

What are you looking forward to working here with us?

Looking forward to learning our customers' visions, goals, and pain points to make sure we enhance and develop the right products. A job done well will award us with trusting customers, new markets, and prospects. I'm also looking forward to all the fun we will have while doing it!

The quick ones

Now we want to know more about you - let’s take some quick ones.

Let’s start easily (or tricky) - how would you describe yourself in three words?

Analytical, curious, and optimistic.

What's the best career advice you've ever been given?

Be a lifelong learner. I think it is a piece of great advice and I live by it every day.

What’s your passion outside work - your personal interest and hobbies?

A passion is what you spend time on, and I spend quite some time on volunteer work.

I'm a scout leader mentoring and training 6-14yo scout troops to develop skills for life. I get to be in nature a lot as a bonus.

I'm on the boards of a figure skating sports club and a tenant owners' association.

I also act as a medical first responder to victims of cardiac arrest, where I attend emergency calls as EMS, fire, and police units are deployed. It feels important that I for a brief moment in time am able to make a difference in helping a person survive.

Who do you admire and why?

I admire qualities in people, who:

  • dare to try new things, dare to fail.
  • strive for constant improvement.
  • lead by example and inspire others.
  • have emotional intelligence.

I think Elon Musk embodies these and other good qualities. He spends his time on building new great products, just like us, and I think his advice is good food for thought:

‘‘just trying to make your product as amazing as possible...and customers will come’’

‘‘spend less time in meetings, less time on PowerPoint presentations, less time on spreadsheets, and more time on the factory floor or time with customers’’

‘‘constantly think about how you could be doing things better and questioning yourself’’

What is played in your headphones?

It is really random, it depends on my mood and activities. Spotify and its community are really good at serving good collections and alternatives to what I listen to, so I use that a lot to discover new music.

At the top of my bucket list is…

To further train our field golden retriever, possible for search and rescue, as she is very good at searching. Field goldens from English lines are bread to have a strong drive to search and retrieve during fowl hunting. I don’t hunt, but she has an exceptional nose that could be put to good use, other than finding mushrooms, money, and lost car keys…

If I could choose one superpower, that would be…

The power of persuasion. Maybe it is not the most powerful superpower around, and it has flaws, but for real-life applications, it would be useful.

In lieu of real superpowers, I like the art of rhetoric and that you can improve your communication to a level where it becomes a powerful tool.

I pick up on good techniques others are using and think about how I shall deliver a message as effectively as possible. In my role it is a real superpower to be able to persuade, educate, inspire and motivate others.

Once again very warm welcome, we are happy to have you
onboard!

Thank you, I’m really pleased to be on board with Netadmin I found it to be a great fit with my values and ambitions. I look forward to being part of this journey and the continued success we will accomplish together.
