Netadmin, a key provider of software purposely built for fiber operators starting, transiting to, or operating a fiber business, has announced that GlobalConnect has selected Netadmin to help them operate their network and grow their subscriber base.
GlobalConnect, one of Scandinavia's largest open access/wholesale fiber providers with 74,500 km of its fiber network, and a plan to expand its network with several thousand new homes passed every quarter have implemented the Netadmin Nine system to support and automate this growth.
The Netadmin team has worked closely with the GlobalConnect team during the project and has delivered phase one of the project in just three months from start to first connected customer. With a tight focus to get the product live, the teams worked efficiently and delivered the product in different phases to have a fast time-to-market.
Today, GlobalConnect initially has a few service providers offering their services in the network, but the plan is to introduce many service providers as a fully open network. As part of this, Netadmin will also be integrated with OpenNet, a platform that gives service providers the ability to sell their services in GlobalConnect's fiber network.
Besides the core capabilities, Netadmin has also adapted the Billing Add-on to work in a Danish context.

GlobalConnect is the third fiber operator to choose Netadmin within the EQT group, the others are Swedish IP-only and Dutch DELTA Fiber.
