Netadmin's Cloud Journey: Milestone 1 - enhancing scalability and standardization
The future of telecom aligns with the universal trend towards cloud technologies. Operators and CSPs (Communication Service Providers) worldwide are reassessing their existing IT infrastructures, exploring various cloud options to host their future B/OSS (Business/Operations Support Systems) solutions. This spectrum ranges from SaaS (Software-as-a-Service) on one end to public and private clouds on the other. A common driver behind this shift is the desire to unlock the benefits of cloud technologies, aiming to ensure application performance, reliability, availability, and scalability. Additionally, reducing maintenance and operational costs and achieving standardization are key factors fueling this IT transformation.
Netadmin is fully committed to supporting our customers in transforming their IT infrastructures. The Netadmin Cloud Journey focuses on harnessing cloud technology to guarantee the long-term scalability of our customers' operations. Moreover, this transition facilitates shorter development, installation, and maintenance cycles, reducing the reliance on numerous servers and eliminating dependencies on specific operating systems. This move paves the way for offering more agile and standardized products and solutions aligned with the TM Forum Open Digital Architecture (ODA).

Cloud Milestone 1
Our Cloud Journey's initial milestone aimed to modernize the tech stack and containerize the Netadmin platform. This step aimed to remove platform constraints, discontinue the use of legacy technologies, and enable Netadmin to operate on Docker containers within any Linux-based environment compliant with the OCI standard, thus eliminating the need for Windows installations. As part of this process, we refined our tech stack and streamlined build-and-deploy processes. The goal was to expedite and simplify the deployment and configuration of the base system and other features deployed within the solution. This was achieved through the creation of a standardized and modernized build, package, and deployment process.
Containerizing Netadmin accelerated installation, reduced maintenance, minimized the number of required servers, and eliminated dependencies on Microsoft Windows Server. This change enhanced redundancy, reliability, availability, and load-balancing capabilities, thereby aiding our customers in scaling up their operations.
