Connecting systems when things change

Connected systems need to know when an order is completed, a device is added or an address is updated. Repeatedly checking for those changes adds unnecessary integration work.

The Webhooks Framework for Netadmin Nine is designed to send messages to external systems when configured changes occur. Instead of polling Netadmin to discover whether something has changed, receiving systems can use these notifications to respond to the relevant event.

Key features and enablers

• Change-triggered notifications: Send messages when selected actions occur in Netadmin Nine.
• Configurable triggers and destinations: Define which actions should trigger a message and the endpoint that should receive it.
• Additional context: Include attributes in the message to help the receiving system understand the change.
• Less reliance on polling: Notify connected systems about configured events rather than requiring repeated checks for updates.

Example use cases

Completed orders — Inform another system when an order has been fulfilled and finished, so it can use that notification in its own workflow.

Inventory updates — Send a message when a device is created in the inventory, helping connected systems respond to newly added equipment.

Address changes — Notify another system when an address is updated, for example when its build-out status changes from passed to activated.

A configurable approach to integration

Configure the action that should trigger a notification, choose the destination endpoint and add the attributes the receiving system needs for context. This gives integration teams a direct way to connect changes in Netadmin Nine with workflows in other systems.

The goal is straightforward: keep connected systems informed without requiring them to repeatedly ask whether something has changed.
